Need Some Inspiration? What About A Weekend in Middle-Earth?

A great opportunity to immerse yourself in the enchantment of Middle-Earth by taking part in this fantastic event organized by the Tolkien Society if you are based in the U.K. Middle-Earth Weekend 2010 'Sailing Around Middle-Earth' at the Sarehole Mill and Recreation Ground which Tolkien used as inspiration for the Shire . Sarehole Mill is in Birmingham where the Professor lived with his family when he was young. The weekend has been held every May since 2000, and its an incredible opportunity to visit the very place that inspired Tolkien and to enjoy some great time. This year’s Middle-earth Weekend has the theme of the Mariner to tie in with the International Maritime Organization’s Year of the Seafarer. Hobbits, Elves, Men and Dwarves will have the opportunity to enjoy a display in the Mill organized by the Tolkien Society , but also displays from local and national groups, a range of family-friendly activities , some dramatic presentations, story-telling of the Voyage of EƤrendil, demonstrations, readings, poetry, costume displays, archery, songs, Vikings, birds of prey, displays from a food historian.....hobbit's favorite , and fine things to buy. This Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 5pm ...so, what do you think? This sounds like a very 'hobbitish' weekend to me. :)
